Job Description

The City of Arvada operates West Woods Golf Course; this position is responsible for selling alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic beverages and food on the 27-hole course in a warm, friendly and professional manner while exhibiting proper golf etiquette and safe driving. The Beverage Cart Attendant loads, restocks and unloads beverage cart daily, performs daily inventory and records restocking of all products, keeps carts clean and organized, greets guests warmly and uses suggestive selling and upselling techniques. The attendant maintains knowledge of food and beverage items, liquor laws, and standard operating procedures, utilizes Point of Sales system, creates daily sales reports and inventory reconciliation, and incorporates safe work practices. The role requires working in inclement weather and outdoor temperatures, attending department meetings and training, and frequently operating a motor vehicle. Other duties as assigned. Requires good judgment, strong math skills, ability to work independently, maintain neat appearance and attendance, follow instructions, handle cash and P.O.S., work evenings, weekends and some holidays, and communicate effectively. A valid Colorado driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required. High School/GED education is required. Customer service and cash handling experience preferred. Must be at least 21 years old. Physical demands include moderate to considerable physical effort, working from ladders, and handling medium weight objects. Work environment includes exposure to heat, noise, and outdoor elements.
